Greetings Wombats!

A huge THANK YOU to all of you that have stepped up to volunteer for the summer 2019 Wombats season! We still have several key roles to fill and we need YOUR help for another successful season. Please take a look at one of the key positions below, and send an email indicating your interest to: [email protected]:

Stroke and turn officials: If you're interested in what qualifies as legal butterfly this is a great job for you! We can’t have meets without officials: the team needs 5 or 6 parents to become MCSL stroke & turn officials. You do NOT have to have previous experience and you do NOT have to be certified for US Swimming meets. What you need to do: attend one 3-hour training this spring and then be willing to volunteer in this role regularly (e.g., once per week, either Wednesday night B meets or Saturday morning A meets).

Banquet Committee: We need additional support for the banquet committee. The date and location for the swim team banquet are set for Saturday, July 20, 2019. If you like to plan a good party while working with fun people, this is the job for you.

Friday team dinner: We need a couple more parents to help coordinate our Friday team dinners at the pool. This is a fun way to get to know Wombats of all ages.

Sponsorship Coordinator: Help keep the cost of swim team low by engaging with the previous year's sponsors to continue their commitment to the Wildwood Wombats. Seek out new sponsorship opportunities, keeping in mind our pool members and neighborhood businesses. Work with team reps to keep the website and printed materials updated with sponsor logos. This work can be done at your convenience this spring so that we have sponsors lined up before the season starts.
