Coaches

Kevin Fisher will be returning to the Wombats for summer 2019 in his second year as a Head Coach after a successful first season. He has extensive experience as a swimmer and coach. He loves summer swimming having swum for Country Glen since the age of 7. He also was an assistant coach at Country Glen from 2003-2017. He has been a Head Coach at RMSC Rockville since 2014, and is the head coach at Thomas S. Wootton High School.   

Coach Kevin will be aided by Assistant Coach Mina Erickson, who has more than a decade of coaching experience in various capacities including at Team TOLL and as Head Coach for the Connecticut Belair pool in Kensington, Maryland.

We aslo welcome back Patrick Winter as an Assistant Coach. After more than a decade of swimming for the Wombats, Patrick is excited to return for his 7th summer on the coaching staff. He is a recent graduate of UMD where he studied Finance, and he is looking forward to another great summer with the team!

We welcome three Junior Coaches for summer 2019. 

Patrick Connelly is a junior at Walter Johnson High school where he swims for the high school team, and has been a Wombat for 9 years. He also swims club for All-Star Aquatics in the National Training Group. Patrick is looking forward to an incredible season this year.

Clayton Steiner will be turning 17 in the summer 2019, and is a junior at Walt Whitman High School. He has swum all three years of high school, and this will be his 8th year swimming for the Wombats. He also swims with Coach Kevin at RMSC Rockville, and he is beyond excited for his first year as a junior coach!

Jane Umhofer has been swimming as a Wombat for the past 9 years. She has continued her swimming at RMSC in the winter and has made the RMSC national travel team. She is super excited to join the Wombats as a Junior Coach this summer.

The Wombats also welcome Emma Attar as a part-time associate coach. Emma has been a Wombat for over 10 years and is currently a junior at Stone Ridge. Next year she will cap off her high school swimming career as a captain of the Stone Ridge swim team. She looks forward to another great summer at Wildwood!
